I’ve decided to enter the bullet hell game jam currently running on itch.io and for the past few days i’ve been bashing out some trully gross C++ code.
My aim is to make a game simmilar to Warning Forever where the player is throw into a series of ever larger boss fights.
I spent most of yesterday working on procedurally generated bosses composed from various parts that can be destroyed. I didnt apreciate quite how complex the maths involved would be when it came to working out all of the rotations and collisions between everything which involved loads of 2D transformation matrix math.
Anyways here is a wee video of what I have so far in action. Its slowly turning into something interesting.
